The World Ceramic Exposition 2001
Korea hosts the 1st World Ceramic Biennale to accommodate the
varied
trends of contemporary ceramic arts and to suggest future directions for ceramic arts
in the 21st century.
The 1st Biennale is one of the official
events of the Expo that will eventually be an independent event held
every
two years. The Biennale is comprised of a competition, an invited
exhibition, an international ceramic workshop and an international ceramic
symposium. The World Ceramic Biennale has begun with the aim
of advancing the World Ceramic Center in Ichon, Kyonggi
Province as the Mecca of contemporary ceramics. |
